But, i've had a few, very kind, people making suggestions as to where they'd like to see some of my stories go next, and an even smaller number of also very kind people contact me about writing something specifically for them. Feel free to ignore this journal entry, it's mainly just for me! Mainly to help my memory, i'm going to put down some stats since i've got 1000 views on two of my stories now. Not that that's a really great way of judging how well they've gone down. All it really says is that the blurb and title were interesting enough that it meant they got a look. Hundreds of people might have scrolled down and immediately decided it wasn't their cup of tea. I'm writing a lot right now, and there's a few reasons for that. One is that i've got a backlog of stories, so i'm not just writing all the time. Also my gf is overseas for Christmas so I have more time on my hands than I planned for. But mostly the big reason is so that I can try writing some different stuff (within particular genres, of course!) and get it up for people to have a look it and judge. If I just write lots of the same, that's boring, but also even if I write the stuff I think I have a better grip on i'm never going to get better at the stuff i'm not so good at.
